PETER NIGHTINGALE

peterPeter joined Mentor in 1992 as a project management specialist, with invaluable experience of managing projects in the service and manufacturing sectors. His previous roles in industry include Head of Projects for a large pharmaceutical company. Peter initially started his career as a programmer/analyst, which gives him a key insight into the IT industry. Working in the UK and abroad, Peter has managed various project management and personal effectiveness programmes for Mentor’s clients. His experience and expertise enables him to design bespoke Mentor Personal Effectiveness programmes for clients and provide coaching workshops in project management techniques for project teams. Peter plays a key role supporting Cranfield School for Applied Sciences (SAS), an organisation which is globally recognised for its scientific excellence. He has incorporated Mentor’s unique Assess, Develop, Evaluate (ADE) approach into project management learning for practicing professionals qualifying for a life-changing Cranfield MSc. Peter has a track record of success in IT, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and the public sector.

 

CLARE O’SHEA

claireClare has over 20 years in sales and management within the ICT industry. Her experience includes her success at ICL as an account manager, setting up and managing a successful IT consumables company and responsibility for the strategy, design, budget and quality of the Services Sales training programmes at Fujitsu. She has designed and facilitated a wide range of tailored development programmes for customers in the IT industry, banking, government and consultancies. She specialises in Business Development, helping organisations improve their sales performance by focusing resources on robust sales strategies, key account management and relationship selling. Clare was instrumental in developing and delivering the first UK Diploma in Sales in 1998 and remains attuned to industry needs as Programme Director for the new CIM Diploma in Strategic Sales Practice.

 

LIZ PINFOLD

lizLiz joined Mentor with twenty years experience gained at BP, where she undertook a range of roles in Human Resources, Training and Development. A qualified Barrister in Law, postgraduate of the London School of Economics in Industrial Relations and a Corporate Member of the UK Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD), Liz brings a wealth of knowledge to Mentor clients. Her key areas of expertise include psychometric profiling, executive coaching, organisational and team development. Highly successful in Mentor Executive Coaching, her assignments include senior executive coaching for the oil, publishing and telecommunications industries. She also provides coaching support to individual executives to address specific business performance and leadership development issues. As a learning and behavioural specialist, Liz undertakes projects designing and developing leadership competencies, succession planning policies, 360° feedback surveys, psychometric profiling, competency mapping and company wide coaching strategies.

 

JAN SKENE

janJan coaches individuals and teams to achieve higher performance. From the 2012 Olympics project to banking, she develops leaders to drive forward successful transitions. With 15 years experience in Human Resources, Learning and Development, Jan has a rich background of practical experience. Having lived and worked in Europe and the Far East she also understands the need for global Management Development and recognises cultural diversity. She has an MSc in Organisational Behaviour and Career Management and consultancy experience in a wide array of projects which span blue-chip business to local government sectors. Jan is often called upon to develop senior managers including Leadership and Coaching initiatives. Programmes Jan has delivered have outstripped growth targets and achieved effective change, for example, developing local Government managers for their new role as political and commercial players on a visible, world stage for 2012.

 

MATHEW WEBB

mathewMathew joined Mentor following 12 successful years in the telecoms industry. His roles were predominantly in the field of business development, being involved in sales, new business acquisition, account management and laterly into sales management. This experience has ensured that Mathew has a comprehensive understanding of business development, including managing people within the sales environment. He has used this expertise when working proactively with Mentor’s clients in an account management role. In doing so, he has helped key customers to developing the skills and capabilities of their teams. Mathew has delivered programmes focused upon Service Excellence and Business Development. Mathew is passionate about making a positive difference to client businesses, with a real focus on sustainable change.

 

CHRIS WHYATT

debraWhen Chris founded Practical Bid Solutions in 1999, the goal was to bring his well-established sales and bid improvement expertise to market-leading organisations across a range of sectors. He worked with senior managers, sales and pre-sales teams to help improve bid and sales processes. His expertise increased the win ratio and reduced the cost of sales. Chris also trained and coached sales and bid teams to deliver wins by building a deep understanding of the customers’ requirements. He’s a founding Board Member and former COO of the UK Chapter of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP). In 2007, he developed the Get to Great methodology followed in 2008 by Get to Great limited. In early 2009, Chris joined the Mentor Group as leader of the Get to Great™ practice.

 

DEBRA WOODS

debraWith over 25 years experience of change and leadership development, Debra has worked with clients such as Barclays, AstraZeneca, The Cabinet Office and The Football Association as well as organisations across Europe, Africa, USA and Hong Kong. She is an Associate Certified Coach, member of the International Coach Federation and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Debra works with business leaders, Board directors and civil service Directors of some of the world’s most well-known organisations to bring about sustainable personal and organisational change through Mentor programmes. She is currently engaged as a leadership coach by the world’s leading premium drinks firm, working with a group of senior leaders, to bring about step changes in performance.
