With over fifteen years experience in the IT industry, starting off as a technical consultant and moving up to an IT Director and then on to a career in front line sales, sales development and channel partnership, James brings a unique set of technical, corporate and sales experience enabling him to understand all dimensions of business development in the IT Sector. In addition to the hard knowledge James possesses, he is also a qualified corporate and executive business coach, NLP practitioner and DISC profiler to add even more depth and value to every relationship.
After a variety of human resource, training and development roles at Lloyds Bank, Catherine became a change management and human resources consultant, at Coopers & Lybrand where she worked with a wide range of blue chip clients. An Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, an NLP Master Practitioner and certified NLP Coach, Catherine is an accredited Executive Coach for Mentor. She works one-to-one with business leaders and helps managers develop their coaching skills. She is also a specialist in facilitation. Working within the areas of Organisational Development and Personal Effectiveness, she coaches chief executives, senior managers and government officials, supporting them as they lead their teams and prepare for significant change. Catherine’s analytical input and facilitation of tailored Mentor programmes have lead to new ways of working and improved executive performance.
As a senior consultant with Mentor, David works with organisations to develop their commercial skills. An inspirational leader, his particular areas of expertise are in Business Development and Organisational Development, with an emphasis on sales, account management and communication skills. After seven years with the Army, much of it with the Gurkhas, he became Sales Manager with Proctor & Gamble achieving marked success whilst developing coaching and development expertise. David brings these proven skills to Mentor where he has enabled clients to develop technical sales teams, achieve sales growth of over 30% and gain market share. He maintains his obvious passion for quality, whilst driving performance towards the achievement of strategic objectives.
With a background in the provision of learning and development services predominantly in the public sector, Carolyn lends a disciplined approach to the delivery of Mentor programmes and leads our approach to sustainability. She has a particular passion for developing solutions for the Government sector. In the commercial world, Carolyn has proven experience with clients in a broad range of sectors including financial services, communications and manufacturing. As a key member of the Mentor account management team, Carolyn provides dedicated on-site support to clients and forms an integral link on large scale projects. She specialises in client co-ordination and development of close working relationships throughout the development, delivery and evaluation of each programme.
Matt combines his coaching and mentoring skills with over 15 years of management experience with Information Technology vendors and Tier 1 channel partners, in positions which have included leading and developing high performing UK teams across Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations functions. Matt coaches individuals to deliver improved and sustainable performance, delivered across both face to face and virtual environments. He also works with leaders of all levels to increase their communication, influencing and leadership capabilities to increase the performance of their teams. Matt is also a member of the both the International Coach Federation and the European Mentoring and Coaching Council and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. Matt’s coaching qualifications include a Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring Practice and Certificate in Professional Coaching Practice.”
Alison brings 30 years of professional consultancy and management experience to Mentor, but with a particular emphasis on the public sector. For the first 22 years of her career she worked as a Civil Servant in a variety of UK Government Departments. For the last 8 years she has worked as a change, and organisational and personal development facilitator. Alison has been successfully engaged by clients to facilitate change programmes that focus on cultural and behavioural change, where collaborative working and a shared agenda are paramount. She has successfully led the coalescence of cohesive, focused and well-motivated teams from different cultures, ensuring delivery of consistently high performance. She also has a proven track record of identifying and implementing improvements to work practices, securing improvements in efficiency and effectiveness. Alison has also worked with organisations that have been damaged by industrial and interpersonal disputes and poorly-managed change, in order to repair working relationships, learn from the experience and move forward with restored trust and confidence.
With almost 20 years of experience in the sales industry, ranging from Sales Executive to Sales Director, David has encountered most sales scenarios. This puts him in a unique position of understanding sales and its complexities at all levels. With the ability to transfer these skills to others, David has been able to assist others in achieving a win-win outcome using Mentor’s Business Development techniques. The combination of these sales effectiveness techniques, his ability to understand the client and analyse the sales situation is key to his professional success and competency.
David is adept at handling complex projects involving sales teams in excess of 450 with a wide range of experience and skills. He has supported a diverse range of companies in the IT and telecommunications sector. His professional support and development work has directly resulted in sales personnel achieving higher sales.
